Herbalism in Context:
A Round Table to Enhance
Clinical Skills
for students and
practitioners
working with clients,
family, friends, community
or clinic
This empowering weekend will
develop clinical skills in a
comfortable, safe and
productive environment
friday
(7 till 9pm)
A workshop for all to help
make sense of what we see:
whether applying our
herbalist's skills toward
family, friends, community
or clinic - using
interactive practice and
pointers to interpret our
observations.
saturday
(10am till 6pm)
How do we keep track of
everything? What works
and what doesn’t? The
day will begin with
non-verbal assessment,
honing observational skills,
and practical methods to
evaluate health. We
will focus on root issues
while learning to build
trust and creating ease for
ourselves and for those we
work with as herbalists.
We’ll give ample attention
to disentangling health
concerns and disease labels,
while ending the day
discussing organizational
methods and paperwork for
following an apothecary,
clients, family and friends,
cases, inventory, costs and
time.
sunday
(10am till 3pm)
We'll begin with a client
(yes, a real, live client),
to apply assessment and
interactive skills.
From this participatory
experience we'll build a
client-centered holistic
protocol. Focus will
rest on improving
compliance, identifying
immediate and long-term
goals and follow-up.
Practice enhances skill.
Our aim is to further
develop clinical skills in a
comfortable, safe and
productive environment.
