wild roots & fall foliage: medicinal plants of Michigan
Thursday, September 24, 2026
5:00 to 7:30pm
Autumn is the season of harvest, and the last opportunity to gather wild herbs before they are buried under winter snow; please join herbalist jim mcdonald in a walk around Roselle Park in Ada, MI.
On our walk we'll be wandering around the lawns, fields, and woods to explore the medicinal virtues, identification, folklore and preparation of many of the common "weeds" and wildflowers we pass by every day. The information presented will be both specific and practical, based on jim's 30+ years hands on experience in gathering, preparing, and using herbal remedies, and provide a basis for participants to incorporate what they have learned into usable skills with which to maintain and restore health.
