golden hour farm wild roots & fall foliage herb walk

Wednesday, September 17, 2025

5:00 to 7:30pm

Please do join me and spend a few hours looking at the myriad medicinal plants lovingly cultivated and growing wild at Golden Hour Farm. On our walk we'll explore the medicinal virtues, identification, folklore and preparation of many of the common "weeds" and wildflowers we pass by every day. The information presented will be both specific and practical, based on jim's 25+ years experience in gathering, preparing, and using herbal remedies, and provide a basis for participants to incorporate what they have learned into usable skills with which to maintain and restore health.  At each walk we'll look at the herbs that are in their prime at the moment, which will vary from season to season.

cost...

Each walk is $40, and includes extensive handouts on ethical wildcrafting, medicine making, on some of the plants discussed.

location...

Golden Hour Herb Farm

6460 Hartel Rd

Potterville, MI 48876 (directions)

to register...

To register for any of these walks, please use a "register for an herb walk" button on this page ; pre-registration helps SO MUCH and is deeply appreciated.  Likewise, sharing with and bringing along friends, family, and random passersby makes you awesome! If there is space left you can also bring payment the day of the walk.

Please understand that I offer walks rain or shine; be sure to have clothes to keep you dry if there's any chance of rain.  We can likely make use of the shelters there if rain is heavy.
